Photodiodes for 1.0-4.9 µm spectral range
The PD48 series of photodiodes for 1.0-4.9 µm spectral range are produced on the base of the InAs/InAs0.88Sb0.12/InAsSbP/InAs heterostructure. With the continued development of manufacturing processes, one of the most important approaches for the preservation of the environment is environmental monitoring. Monitoring includes the task of spectral analysis of the atmosphere in the wavelength range of 2-5 µm, in which there are many absorption lines of industrial gases and other harmful substances. In this spectral range are absorption lines of the water and its vapors, and such gases as ethylene, methane, acetone, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, etc. Sensors for CO2 (4.25 µm) and CO (4.7 µm) determination are extremely needed for monitoring of exhaled air in medical diagnostics. The photodiodes of the PD48 series are manufactured with both narrow spectrum (PD48-YY-NS) for 2.5-4.9 µm spectral range and wide spectrum (PD48-YY-WS) for 1.0-4.8 µm spectral range

- - Communication systems based on fluoride fibers with loss of 10–2-10–3 dB/km;
- - Environmental monitoring;

- - Remote non-contact temperature measurements;
- - Detection of the burning or explosion products.
